Prospective Sponsors
Aloha,
On behalf of Honua Scholars, we invite you to become a sponsor for our program! Our organization focuses on STEM mentorship while also training students to be culturally and community-grounded leaders. Notably, we host an annual proposal competition and symposium focused on fostering community-driven STEM ideas to advance Hawaii and STEM representation to pursue our mission. Our work was nationally recognized as one of the Top 10 Native STEM Enterprises to Watch by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. Our organization has 450 people on our email list and has an annual website viewership of 2,000+ people (based on 2023 data). Approximately 250 people directly participate in our essay competition or attend our symposium each year.
Your support will enable you to:
Reach out to a broad student community interested in STEM, policy, and culture
Raise awareness to your organization through student networks and local STEM/culture organizations
Showcase your organization’s support for local and Native Hawaiian youth
Access additional opportunities for sharing your information and collaborating on events that could shape the future of STEM in Hawai’i
Support from your organization will help to:
Support our events including our Laulima Symposium, Proposal Competition, and Monthly Dialogue Sessions
Provide awards to proposal competition winners to encourage the generation of new ideas
Support speaker gifts and networking meals for students and staff
Broaden our network and reach for our programming
Details on our levels of sponsorships and benefits are listed to the left. We welcome both monetary and in-kind support. Please contact us at info@honuascholars.org if you are interested in becoming our sponsor or if you would like to discuss more about our organization and this opportunity. All donations are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, the Pacific American Foundation (501(c)(3), Tax ID #54-1696134).
Mahalo,
